The Home Builders Assoication of Northeast Louisiana is a non profit trade association, established in 1955, to promote the home building industry through education, legislative action, and community involvement, while providing quality housing that is safe and affordable to the citizens of northeast Louisiana.

COMMITTEES
Grass roots participation of HBA members is the strength of our organization. There are several committees that handle numerous areas of responsibility that help make our HBA vital and active.

You are invited to review the slate of HBA committees on the Committee Volunteer Form and volunteer to serve on one or more that reflect your special interests and talents.

Some committees function the entire year, usually meeting monthly. Other committees are focused on special projects such as the annual golf tournament, the bass fishing tournament, and the annual Home Expo, and meet as needed to plan and execute these events.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE:  The education committee serves a full year. The committee plans seminars for builders’ continuing education requirements for license renewals, assists in obtaining pertinent information for members, select topics and speakers for areas of interest to members. The committee also makes room preparations as required for a presentation, and secures audio-visual equipment that is required.

  PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE: The public relations committee evaluates the communications needs of the organization, and researches various media outlets to determine the most effective means to disseminate information to the targeted public. The committee is active in the preparation of the materials to be disseminated to the public to meet specific objectives of the organization.
